My cousin is going to WDW with us in January and wants to buy my DD her Pass as a x-mas gift. She is a FL resident and we are not, will she be able to do this or will we have to purchase the ticket and she gives us the money. Do they check ID of 3 year olds?

She may buy a non-resident child pass and gift it to your DD. THe pass is transferable prior to use. If DD has a resident pass and you don't, the CM may become suspicious when just DD's entrance flashes "resident" on the hidden screen.

Buying passes for someone else is not a no-brainer. Ten day non-expiring passes, although good for most situations, have their drawbacks such as being undesirable for nine, ten, and some eight day vacations. Fortunately passes can have days and features added after you get there.
