It's really pretty simple. First you need a contract that covers the specifics including legal names and addressees of owners and purchases, use year, number of points, points accounting, who gets what and who pays what. All must sign though it doesn't have to be the same copy. You then get that to DVC member admin for ROFR consideration. You'll either get a ROFR waiver or a letter saying they are buying it and the paperwork included. Once you have the waiver, you then can prepare a deed, not that difficult. Actually DVC's deeds they use when they buy it are much more simple than any others I've seen. Once you have the deed and all have signed it (notarized with 2 witnesses), you get it to the Country for recording. Orange county is online and can easily give you the dollar amounts to send. You also must record the Waiver. You do not have to put the sales price in the deed, DVC does not when they buy it back.snowbunny said:

IMO, one should not need title insurance o n DVC. Just check to see how the deed is titled and check with DVC (with the sellers permission of course) to make sure all is in order. Paying even the $250 that Timeshare Transfer charges is really not reasonable for a simple private sale UNLESS one also needs escrow services, which are also available much cheaper if that's all that one needs otherwise.
