I just looked up some prices on Cruise dot com and put in that there were four of us - Dh, myself, dd (8) and ds (5). I clicked on cat 12 prices and they came up with a reservation for me to accept. No where did it say that this category wouldn't accomodate us.

It's cheaper than the cat. 11 so I would rather do that but I want to make sure there's enough places for all of us to sleep.

Thanks in advance,
Kelly

Category 12's only sleep 3 but DCL will allow parties of 4 to book a cat 12. My understanding is you will automatically be upgraded into a cat 11 stateroom.

If there is a cat 12 GTY (guarantee) rate available, a group of 4 can book it and be assured of an upgrade. It seems like it usually is available, and it's a great way to money; the only thing you lose is the ability to select a specific cat 11 stateroom.

But if for some reason a GTY rate is not available, you may not be able to book cat 12.

I just tried for our Dec 06 cruise, and we could book cat 12 GTY. But oddly we can't book a cat 7, which is a similar situation in that none of the cat 7 cabins can sleep 4.
