Can a AAA room only ressie be upgraded to a package?

More specifically, I made a room only reservation through CRO with a AAA discount at WL Dec 3-10. Can I call AAA and have them add dining to the reservation? The reason I ask is because I have a woods view room and from what I hear only courtyard rooms are available for that time period. Could I keep my Woods View discount if I call AAA and add dining?

I think you can, but you need to add passes to the reservation to make it a "package". I am in the same situation, booked a AAA rate for WL woods view Dec 7 - 16 but am thinking about adding dining and passes.

hmm...I'm not sure you can do this without cancelling your reservation. Only bc you mention that you called CRO and originally made it thru them, and now want to call your AAA office and tweek your ressie. Why not call CRO and have them do it for you?

I changed mine. I had orginally room only with CRO with AAA discount. In order to get AAA discount on a package you have to go through AAA. I had to make a new reservation with AAA. The hotel still had same room type that I had orginally booked, so it wasn't a problem for me. Not sure if AAA can access your CRO reservation and add dining + tickets. You only have to purchase a 1 day ticket per person to make a package too! Just in case you already have them. The tickets you purchase have to be the same for everyone.
I cancelled my ressie with CRO after everything was set with AAA.

tkldisney is correct. You can only get the AAA discount on the package through a travel agent. I you have a good agent they can check room avail for you. Now when the free dinning came out we had a similar problem. I the end our agent had to fax disney a signed letter from me allowing her access to my ressie and then it was turned over to her. I am not sure disney would like people to frequently do this. We had other circumstances besides and unavail room. She had done all the orig leg work and then because of a glich could no add the discount. I would start by just having you agent see if there is avail for them..
