Can a 7 year old see Devil Wears Prada?

I was wondering if the movie would be ok for a mom and daughter movie? We haven't been to a chick flick in a while and wonder if there are any inapropriate scenes, or do you think she might be bored? SHe is almost 8 but going on 18! LOL! Very girly girl!

I think that a 7 year old would be bored. The Devil Wears Prada contains numerous allusions to fashion, social trends, and the business world and I suspect that even the most precocious seven year old would not be able to catch on.

I have a teen daughter who loves the movies, yet I cannot tolerate most of them. But I want to know what she will be seeing before giving the ok to go. So, I always go to mrqe.com and plug in the name of the movie. It gives reviews from everywhere, but I usually click on 'kids-in-mind' reviews. It will tell you everything you need to know, and is a great resource for parents. Good luck!

I think a 7 year old would be bored--it's more of a situational/verbal comedy that would be better suited to a pre-teen and older.

As for inappropriateness, there is partial nudity, implied sex, swear words, name calling/generally rudeness, and some serious body issue warping (size 6 is the new 14???).
