They advertise through out the park upgrade today. They are always happy to take your money. Just go to guest service and you will pay the difference. If you get an AP your AP will be active on the first day you used the park ticket. But you have to upgrade the tickets during the use of them.

Sorry to interrupt your thread! I have a question about upgrading. We are attending the Celebration of Harry Potter weekend and purchased the package, which included 3 day park to park tickets. My understanding from others on this forum is we would get gate price applied when we upgrade. It is difficult for me to ascertain the gate price, but the online price is 186.99 for the type of ticket I purchased. Do you know what the price difference would be to upgrade to the Power Pass? There is an excellent chance we may return at the end of August and this would also allow us to head to the park on the day we arrive. Thank you so much!

It cost us $9 and change to upgrade from a 3 day park to park ticket to a power pass when we were there in September.


To determine gate price, add $20 to the online price for multi-day tickets. That puts your gate price at $206.99. Power passes cost $214.00.

Damo you have made my day!! Thank you! That is what it looked like to me, but I couldn't imagine it would only be $9 or $10 more per ticket. That is totally doable and worth it on the chance we return within the year. Have a great day!

The exceptions to this in the past have been certain complementary/promotional tickets Like USSSA ticket,MyCokeRewards and tickets that other non-Universal Parks like Orlando Flexpasses. But even that is a bit varied. I have some 2 day- 2 Park tickets that were Comped to me after Guest relations messed up and those can't be upgraded, they also don't have the 14 day expiration. I also have a 1 day park to park ticket I "purchased" with credit card points that at the time people were being able to upgrade.

We had luck in September with upgrades to loyalty tickets that we had gotten from Air Miles and Aeroplan (both Canadian "points" programs).
