I was wondering if a ten year old could order from the adult menu? I am suspecting she will want food from the kids menu sometimes but if she is really hungry I could see her want something maybe from the 'lighter fare' choices on the adult menu... Or is it limited by age? Thank you.

She can also order from both. For example if she wants the fruit salad from the kids menu and the steak from the adult:) Then you can have the Mickey Bar for dessert:))

My 6 yo never orders from the kid's menu. Salmon tartare, escargots, lobster tail, etc. for him... The only exception : make your own cupcake in Animator's Palate !

My 4 year old ordered from the adult menu. She wanted rare steak and prosciutto almost every night.

DD12 generally only ordered dessert from the adult menu--sweet temptations every night (which is a selection of 3 mini versions of desserts from that night's menus) The rest of her food was from the kids' menu. The 1 night she ordered an adult entrée...she filled up on bread and only ate a bite of dinner. Lol, she has an adult dessert palate, but a very bland palate for dinner.

I didn't think of that but I'm glad it came up! Sailing with a 10yo in 40 days, and I bet he'll try some from the adult menu. Boy can he pack it away lately, must be getting ready for a growth spurt!

A cruise is a great place to have your kids try out foods they haven't had before. If they order something they don't like, the servers are more than happy to bring them something else.

Anyone can order from any menu. You can mix and match. You can order more than one thing from any category. And they will even go out of their way to get you something if you don't like anything on the menu. This includes going to another restaurant. All you have to do is ask.

My 9 year old is obsessed with the slow roasted chicken on the lighter note menu, he ate it several days in a row and its all he talks about now. We are hoping to do Panama Canal in 2018 and he keeps talking about eating that amazing chicken 14 days in a row LOL

On the Fantasy this summer my 11 year old enjoyed a particular entree (fish) so much, our server brought him a second. He ate it as well. Our last night, even though not on the menu, it was prepared for him again w/o even asking. Just showed up along side what he ordered.

Oh and our 8 year old ate ice cream for lunch every day.

The one week a year...do what you want...and its awesome!

even babies can! my little one ordered from the adult menu the first cruise-- we found it more balanced/nutritious than the usual pizza/chicken tenders and it was nice for them to try something different!

Absolutely! My then 2 and 6 year old boys both ate from the adult menu once or twice during our 7 night cruise. My 6 year old is a great eater and enjoys lots of different non-kid menu foods and the 2 year old, well, one night I just decided that he wasn't having another chicken nugget or french fry!

If you're all adults they will bring you the kids menu if you ask - and you can get the crayons so you can play the games. Sometimes it's fun to be a kid again no matter what your chronological age.:bored:
