We're leaving Friday for DCL and have reservations with Tiffany for Saturday AM from Fairfield Inn at MCO to the port. When I was researching towncar companies, I had emailed about whether this arrangement would work with DH in front and me in back between the two boosters, and they said yes. (Unfortunately, I can't find that email anymore, and I'm almost positive it was from Tiffany and not any others I had researched, but I could be wrong.) I just called to verify that they will be bringing two boosters, and now they say they can only do two child seats (of any kind) with a van and not a towncar! I even requested two seats on my online reservation, and nothing was mentioned about not being able to do this. My oldest DS is 5, so technically, he can ride in FL without one, but he has always insisted that he be buckled in properly to a booster before the car even moves.
(Atta boy!
) Now I can't find that email and I'm considering cancelling with Tiffany because she was very rude about it! And especially after reading this other thread about Tiffany's poor customer service! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1425220 She couldn't even tell me what the weight restrictions are on the boosters. My DS5 is 42 lbs, and my DS3 is 34 lbs, and according to our boosters at home, the backless ones are only for 40+ lbs, so DS3 may not even be able to use their booster anyway, but she couldn't tell me that.
So I guess my questions are:
Has anyone done this arrangement in a Tiffany towncar?
Do any other towncar companies allow this without having to upgrade to a van?
What are the weight restrictions on backless boosters that are commonly used by towncar companies?
Do they ever use ones with the back on so DS3 could be in one?
This is definitely not the stress I'm wanting to come across 2 days before leaving! (Sorry this got so long!)
