I was able to use the automated payment system without a wait time. I called the resort reservation phone number that is listed on the reservation page:

When they asked why I was calling I said "make a payment" and it took me through the prompts. I was paying the room balance using two gift cards and it worked out well.

I was finally able to get through early this morning. Because I originally booked with a TA I have to make payment through her. I hadn’t thought of that, duh........
