Can’t do Online Check In

After days of trying to do the online check in on my computer, iPad and iPhone, I decided to call technical help on MDE. The very patient CM tried three different ways of fixing the problem, I still can’t enter my information on MDE for the check in. The CM was going to try one last thing- to redo the entire reservation but I’m so afraid something would get messed up that I told her not to bother. We arrive at BCV on March 13. All of our plans are on MDE and we just got our magic bands yesterday so Disney knows we’re coming. I guess I’m being overly cautious. I guess standing in line to do check in will be the new plan!
 
Curious how far you get into the process? Mine I can complete it and some times it even registers as checked in, but most of the time it still reads start check in.
 
I have a few reservations I made in 2019 for 2020. Those all had the online check in button.

For a while the several reservations I made in 2020 for 2020 were missing the OCI button. Then yesterday they finally showed up . Who knows lol.
 

After going to MDE and picking the ”start check in”, I’d get to the page to add phone contact number and credit card to leave on file. I could enter the information but the circle on top of the page saying “loading” just kept spinning. It wouldn’t save any information.
The CM had me try going on “incognito” page to try but still no luck. Now I’m not good at all with technology but I’ve done online check in before with no trouble.
 
I have tried the clearing cookies etc that didn’t help. Woke up to randomly being checked in to all my reservations.... expecting it to fall back off the later one again though lol
 
Well I tried MDE again and this time SUCCESS! I was able to complete the online check in. Not sure what happened overnight or if Disney IT looked into the problem but all is good!
 
I went through the whole process and was told it was a success.....just for the next day it to ask me if I'd like to start the check in process. I repeated the experience again just for it to ask if I'd like to start check in. I gave up. lol
 
My sister had a different online check in issue but maybe related? On Tuesday she checked in online for her Thursday Boulder Ridge reservation but on Wednesday, the app it said “start check-in” again. She did not do it again, she figured it was fine since she did online check in.

At 4:30pm on Thursday she still hadn’t been assigned a villa and headed to the hotel to see what the status was. As it turns out, they didn’t have record of her online check in so she wasn’t assigned a room. They got their room immediately after stopping at the desk.

Must be a glitch?

This is what I’m worried about. Same thing happened to my sister in December and then she even had further issues with the front desk actually getting her checked in. 2 of my 3 current reservations are experiencing the same issue but are currently both reading checked in again so I’m trying not to stress it. Seems to be a common glitch based on the number of threads I’ve seen popping up about it recently.
 
Figured I would update this thread..... as predicted with no action taken my other reservations are showing ”start check-in” again. :rolleyes1 Wish they had a proper functioning site.

There's something wrong here.
They don't wait to assign rooms based on someone completing online checkin. They won't send you your room location without it but the room IS assigned. Unless DVC does something different, they are assigned 5 days or so before you arrive. It wouldn't be the first time a CM didn't know what they were talking about or maybe your sister misunderstood and she was told they didn't notify her of her room because they didn't have record of her online check in

I used confusing verbiage when typing quickly — I meant that they hadn’t heard what villa they were assigned to, not that they didn’t have a room. They went because they weren’t notified yet.
