Thank you so much for your support, Julie and Heather and Chris. I have been so crazy busy that I haven't taken time to journal here. Fortunately, I have been practically religious about journaling every bite in my WW journal. Have still been staying within points. I had a "splurge day" on Sunday at my Goddaughter's birthday party, but that just means I ate a piece of breaded chicken cutlet that I might have otherwise resisted and a whole cup of rice w/groundbeef and raisins and nuts in it. The food was delicious and I was able to limit myself to 2 bites of cake and 1 bite of cheesecake crust. Once I got home, however, I ate most of a small caramel apple with nuts and a caramel apple with sprinkles.
I am going to clobber my friend, Chrissy for sending those home with me. There are two more "sprinkle" apples in my fridge that I will ask Howard to throw away today.
Life has been very pressurized in our house recently as we waited for Jenn's SAT scores (average; not great) and while she is working on her early decision application for her first choice university. We did her resume last night, and I think once she saw all of her accomplishments, activities, etc. listed on one (very crowded) sheet, she started feeling better about herself. I am really trying to think very positively about her early decision application, but I have to prepare her for the likelihood that she will go into the regular applicant pool and may not have a decision for months. In the meantime, she is barely paying attention to the numerous invitiations she has received from other colleges to apply without a fee or an essay, the letters she has already received indicating she'd be accepted to a private college's scholars program, and the letters indicating she is pre-qualified for several very significant institution-specific scholarships. She has her eye on the prize and I have to give her credit for that, but am also working on getting her to take advantage of those other invitiations, so that she will have more options. I will be SO GLAD when her college decision is finalized.
Training is going well. I am right on track with the MfMWtH program, in week 4 -- hard to believe. I am scheduled for 5 miles on Saturday, but want to do a 5K for Toys for Tots on Sunday, so I have to figure out how to make that all work, especially since I have developed a pain in my left knee since Saturday. I should have been icing it over the past several days, but haven't made the time to do that. Today is a "rest" day, so I will rest tonight and ice it.
Food today--
B: lite EMs w/lite turkey & 1 sl ff ch (4); coffee w/creamer (.5); fiber yogurt w/kashi (1.5); water
L: fat free tuna salad (1) on flat out wrap (2); crackers (2) w/lite string cheese (1)
S: apple (1); fat free sour cream & onion pringles (1)
Oh, almost forgot -- the WHOOSH fairy seems to have visited. I think I may be past my 6-9 range stall. Now down to "4.5". Hoping it continues to move down instead of creeping back up into that horrible stall range. At least in the past, as strange as it sounds, once I've gotten below the number ending in "6" on the scale, there is pretty steady downward movement. Hopefully, with the stepped up (excuse the pun!) half-marathon training, it will all be downhill from here.
