Campsites together...

Three families will be going to FW and would like to have preferred campsites next to each other. Has anyone requested sites next to others? Any problems?

All the other times we've gone, it's just been us and we always got the Loop we requested but were never allowed to request specific sites.

We'll be going Thanksgiving Week 2008. How soon should we call?

BTW some of us will also be going in September 2007 but staying at POP. I don't expect to enjoy it as much as FW. I could be happy just staying at the campground but OF COURSE we spend our fair share of hours with the herds at the parks.

When we've gone with other families, it's never been a problem to get campsites together. When you call to make your reservations (which you should do asap) just have them link the reservations together in the system.

YOu may want to set up the trip as a Grand Gateriing as they will then help you with the planning/reservation process. If you dont want to do that, have each member of the party give the reservation numbers from the other people in the party and have the reservations linked, noting that you all want adjoining sites.

I'm kinda curious, I've been trying to get reservations for November 2008 and I have been told for the last 2 weeks that they have not loaded in the Full or Preferred sites yet. I was told only the partial sites are available. Also, since Thanksgiving is over 500 days away, I'm surprised you were able to book a site for that time. Are you sure that they have your reservation for 2008 and not 2007. Just thought I would ask.

We were booked as a Grand Gathering on our past trip( june 29th-july8th)we were told our sites would be together but when we got there we were told that we were in the same loop but they could not guarantee sites next to each other. Lucky we ended up with two of the sites next to each other and the other one across the street, but it could be seen from one of the other sites, so it was not that bad.
