Hello! we will be traveling from california and arriving at WDW sometime in may. I have a 40' MH and Ill be pulling a 20' enclosed trailer with our car inside. Are there campsites at FortDisney that will handle the length of my setup? Will I be able to Set up camp without having to unhook my trailer? We will be on a cross country trip and Im kind of wondering what is the min. amount of time we should devout for our stay at WDW?. Our family has been to Disneyland a couple of times, so Im sure there will be some things we will be familiar with. Our kids like adventure rides, animal exhibits and waterparks. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Full hookups would be nice but not required. thanks chris.

Best is to call. Day before yesterday a Phaeton MH (length unk, but it was big) pulled in with a tri-axle Wells Cargo 4000 series race trailer (again actual length unk) and started to back in to the site next to us in the 1600 loop. I told the wife this will never happen, but dang if he didn't get things aligned and could have actually just squeezed into the site. It was close and unless you're an real natural with your rig you might have trouble. He chose to park the race trailer in one site and his MH in the other. Another option is to leave the car trailer in the overflow area at the outpost and then you won't have any problems.

The full hook-up part will be no problem if you go ahead and make reservations now.

I doubt any spot will fit your entire set-up but I'm not 100% sure. They do have a parking lot you can unload and park the trailer in once the car is off-loaded.

Disneyworld is far larger than Disneyland and of course has more parks. I'd say a minimum of one day per park but if you devote more time, I can't imagine you'd think it was a waste of time.

Last thing: it's actually called Fort Wilderness, not FortDisney.:thumbsup2

Yes, Fortwilderness.....Im very unfamiliar with disneyworld. Do most people go to every park? How many parks are there? and are there other things we should do beside the disneyparks?

If you want to go "all out", there is also Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens in Tampa, and Kennedy Space Center.

All that would take a lot of time and a lot of money.

They all are great but it's up to you how much you can take. As for us, we're staying ten days and we're going to try and fit in two of those days at Sea World. The other eight are for the Disney parks.

If you've never been before, you owe it to yourself to see every park at least once. Go to www.disneyworld.com and click "parks" to get a better description of each one.:thumbsup2

I would definitely make reservations ASAP. You WILL need a full hookup as they don't even allow MHs in the partial hookup sites (unless they are seriously overbooked). Also the driveways in the partial hookups would be too short for your unit.

Also, as other posters suggested, I would just pull into the overflow lot first, drop the trailer, then go check in. (Make sure you tell them you have a trailer parked in the overflow so they can give you a parking pass for it.)
