I should rephrase... do they make you pay when you reserve the site.

You pay a deposit and then pay the balance along the way or when you get there, if my memory serves me correct, DW usually handles this for me. Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks! I will. We leave 12/2 for an off site trip to DW. Checking out FW for 2013. This year is a whole family, multiple generation trip, so starting to think about just "us" (dh, me, 2 dd's) trip next year. Camping sounds fun and a nice way to start a yearly tradition.

I'm thinking early October.

Right, I made a site only reservation 499 days out and paid only a single night's deposit. I called back a few weeks later and had a AAA discount applied.

I made a reservation last week for the first two weeks in February at FW. The deposit was one nights rent or $73. The entire two weeks rent will cost me about $1050.
