Is there a good time of year where camping is better with more activities. As well as dealing with the heat
thanks:)

We went in early November and there seemed to be plenty of activities posted. We only went to ones in the evening, though if we go again, I would like to try some during the day as well. The campfire, sing-along, and movie happened every night we were there.

It was not too hot then, though at night it was downright chilly. I would go again at the same time of year, but would make sure the heater was working before I left home.

Also, the parks are not too crowded then, esp. after Jersey Week.

We have camped in both October and April. The Fort had tons of activities starting around 10 a.m. and going through the evening! The kids were never bored! And, the activites vary daily, so they aren't doing the same things day after day. :)

Been in October and May. Being a chicken when it comes to hurricane season, while October is nice, I don't like taking the chance. We love May and in a normal season the weather is perfect. Seems last year it was horribly hot, but when we were there in June (only time we could go), it was even worse. May for us all the way.

I agree with Bouncingtiggers. Late October, early November - try to catch Halloween, Christmas, or both.
Spring is a good season to camp, weather wise, but around Easter & Spring break times it is more crowded and the campground fees are higher.
