It's been nearly 20 years since we've camped with family on another site at the Fort so I'm sure things have changed. We are going in September with my parents. We both have the same type of site and arrive on the same day. We both marked traveling with each other when we made the reservation. Do I need to do anything else? My parents stopped camping for nearly 15 years and finally got a new camper so we'd like to be close to them to help them with whatever they need.

Really looking forward to another trip to the Fort, they are few and far between now because we own DVC but the Fort will always be one of my favorite places.

There’s no guarantee, of course, but my experiences with this have been overwhelmingly positive. Right next to each other. Just be sure the reservations are linked in their system.

I would follow up with a call to have a note added to your reservations. 407-824-2727

You can also "negotiate" for available/coming open sites when you check in. I'm pretty big (42 ft plus a vehicle) and usually book a Full site. At check in, I ask for what is available in the loop(s) I prefer. They pull out a binder with site details (length) and we go over what is available that I will fit. You should be able to do the same to get next to each other.

The key to this is arrive earlier in the day (before noon). That will give you the best opportunity to grab something open or opening that hasn't been texted out yet. Once the site notice is sent, that one is unavailable.

Awesome thanks, I will do that. We aren't worried about any of us fitting. Our camper is only 28' and my parents' camper is bigger but my husband can pretty much back anything in. I really don't care where we are, I just want us to be close. I'll give them a call and make sure it's noted on both reservations.
