or tenting as I call it! :teeth:
We were thinking of going to Porthmadog for a few days next week, depending on what the weathers like though!!
I hate being cold, so I'm hoping it will be warmer next week otherwise we might not be going.
Anyone else thinking of camping yet?? Do you go what ever the weather?

Goodness Jeanette your brave, we only ever go in the summer months and even then its cool at night. Last year we went in August and it was a fantastic week, weather wise but woah at night it was so cold!!! We ended up going and buying another sleeping bag (deluxe extra warmth type) and sleeping with the blow heater on.

Good luck if you do decide to go :thumbsup2

we have bought a halogen heater to use at night!!
We went last august to somerset and it was so hot and very warm at night, we had a great time there, but this easter its a bit too far to travel as we have to go in between dh's jobs at work.

Ive never been camping Jeanette, I like my double bed too much, but have a fab time if you do decide to go. :goodvibes

A little too early yet i think and the weather is not settled at all. The blower type heaters are good for camping.

I am a love my own bed type, and never would go camping until last year when we bought a tent, well thats it now i love it.!! I'ts just great to pack the car up and get away.

I love my bed too! although I'm not averse to camping in luxury tents with my own personal butler etc the huge spiders that invaded my luxury tent in India were a bit off putting. Luckily I was the only person armed with Haribo (very useful to bribe over- curried men with)

Just remember Netty - when you go to India don't forget the Haribo!

we are off tomorrow to Barmouth, only for wednesday and thursday night, i know........ we must be mad
Think of us when you are snuggled up nice and warm in your bed, I'm sure i will be thinking of my bed, when i'm inside my sleeping bag shivering!!!
 :cold:

I did have a look to rent a caravan instead for the 2 nights, but was quoted £60 a night, so i'd rather tent it! :wave2:

Have a good time Jeanette, hope the weather is ok for you. It looks like today will be a fine day :sunny:

Dont forget to bring us some Barmouth rock back :rotfl:

well..ermm..good luck.
Hope you have a good time and the weather is not to bad.

I can't back out now , my dd(14) is so excited and has got half the camping gear strewn all over the back room
We are hoping to get plenty of walking in as well and are taking the dog.
At least on the bright side, it will do my sciatica some good and i may lose some lbs... :rolleyes1

Hi

Have a lovely time.

We are planning our first camping trip for end of May bank holiday. I have never been before, I have a huge fear of bugs. My dh said that if you keep your sleeping quarters closed then no bugs will get in. I hope he isnt lying to me. My dd is so excited she is 6.

We are also taking our twin boys of 2. I was a little worried about taking our boys. So I will be sleeping with Casey and dh with the boys.

I am looking forward to it. We managed to find a tent somebody can lend us incase I hate it.
