Hi everyone! We are a Disney on a budget family :) we love Disneyland and try to come from Canada every few years. Typically we stay at the hojo, but this year we are low on funds and are thinking we are going to have to drive our 1960's canvas tent trailer down and camp. So, has anyone stayed at the Anaheim resort rv park? we did stay twice at the Anaheim rv village, but I guess they were sold and turned into a parking lot :( Anaheim resort rv park looks like it is the next closest, but I have some reservations, particularly the fact that there is no fence or wall around the park. Has anyone camped there? Thoughts? Other recommendations?

Thanks!..

I'm here right now. Been here a week in a tent. No problems at all other than it's a bit pricy. It's nice & clean, you can see the fireworks, haven't used the pool as it's been to cold for my liking tho it's a warm sunny day already today. You can hear the freeway noise but it doesn't bother me in the least, it's like white noise and I don't even notice it now. Lots of big shady trees. Occassionly you can hear the train whistle which I'm pretty sure is from Disney. There is security on all night and just off a main street so not a lot of traffic going directly past the campground. I'll do a good trip advisor review after we check out. Also the ART stops just out front. You can see the new Holiday Inn being built from here so it's just across the freeway I guess. We aren't doing Disney this trip and been hanging around the tent lots.
There is also the Anaheim Harbor RV place which is a little cheaper and in walking distance, likely 15-20 minutes. If we decide to stay for a few more days then we'll check out this other place to see if it's worth moving to.
I'm still ticked that the other place was sold to be a parking lot.
If you have any questions let me know and I can get back to you asap.

Wow, great thanks! I didn't realize that Harbor RV was closer and cheaper, I hadn't even looked into it too much. I need to investigate that one a bit more. I know… we LOVED Anaheim RV village. It was so close, and walled in, and was so clean. I hope we can find something like it.

Ok, just looked into the Anaheim Harbor RV park and it's reviews aren't great. Yes they are cheaper, but it looks a little sketchy? I don't know, if you go there to check it out would you mind letting me know?

We stayed at the resort RV park. It was great. Make sure that you are allowed to bring a 1960's trailer. Many of the campgrounds in the US have a 15 years or newer rule for camper trailers.

I visited the different RV parks in the area, and would not recommend Harbor RV Park. My favorites were Anaheim RV Village and Anaheim Resort RV Park. It's not walled in, but it is in a quiet area, the area looks decent, and ART stops there on property in the front.

Here is Harbor RV Park. There was no shade at Harbor RV Park, and pretty much only gravel around the RVs. There was a patch of grass by the pool.

Wow Mary Jo that is the spot we had. It's the only tent site at Anaheim Resort. We didn't end up staying any longer so didn't stay at the Harbor Park. It does look ok tho I'm a little iffy after reading the reviews even if they are a little old.

We have plans to stay at Anaheim Resort RV Park in August in our RV for 5 nights. Driving down from the Seattle area with our three kiddos and meeting family for 4 days in the parks. So far our experience in booking with them has been great. DH called with some questions and wanted to know if we could get spots side by side with his dad. They were very accommodating over the phone and answered all his questions.

Anyone know how long the ride is via ART to the parks? We're hoping to hit the parks first thing in the morning and break back at the RV around mid-day before heading back for any evening entertainment. Just wondering how doable this is via ART since we won't be towing a car with us.

I'd love to hear more reviews, thoughts, etc. on the park itself.
