Has anyone done this?
where did you stay and how did you find it?
How long did it take to drive to the park?

Always looking at new and cheaper ways for a quick dis fix!

Kx

We stay every year at Berny Riviere Campsite but go in a mobile home. It is about an hour from Disney but the reason we choose this site is there is a brilliant indoor pool and we go at Easter and stay there for a few days and then move to DLP to stay onsite or nearby
(less then 3 wks and we'll be there again :cheer2: :cheer2: )

There are sites nearer and Ive read trip reports from people whove camped nearer - look in the trip report index and you will probably find them.
I also know if you have a camper van you can 'camp' in the main carpark- again someone on these boards did this fairly recently which sounds great fun and very cheap

This is where we stay also and in a mobile home. We book two weeks at the site but then have a couple of nights at Disney. We have in the past done day trips to Disney. The site does have pitches if you want to take your own tent.

I wish I was going there in 3 weeks, hope you have a great time. I've got to wait untill June before we go again.

The first time we went we booked 2 weeks there and had intended to do a few day trips to DLP (we'd never been before only to WDW) then we decided to book a night there, then we looked into it and booked 2 nights at Santa Fe but still kept the mobile home and returned to it afterwards.
Since then we go there first then move all our paraphanalia to DLP for a few nights.
This time the site doesnt open until 19th March so we are going to DLP for a night first then to B Riviere for a week then back to DLP for 5 nights

Le Soleil de Crecy is at Crecy la Chapelle and is only 13 km from DLP and Le Chene Gris is at Pommeuse and is 20 km from DLP. They both have playground, pool, shop etc. Not stayed at either but are considering them for the future. Look at Vacansoleil site for more details.

I have stayed at the Berny Riviere site but that is about an hour's drive. If you are just looking for a cheap Disney option then one of the above sites would be very close.

We have stayed in a mobile home at both these sites, and although both are good I actually preferred Les Etangs. The setting is more rural and it is a smaller quieter site. It took us 30mins to drive from Les Etangs to Disney.

We are considering taking our tent and camping at Crecy la Chapelle in summer 2009. Looks like a good site too. There are some reviews of other campsites here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/

We have booked 4 nights here in July this year, through vacansoleil staying in a mobile home. We are then travelling down to the Loire valley for a further 8 days.
