Camping in Pop-Up in Aug, with no a/c?

My question is how bad will it be in a pop-up with no air conditioning....

DON'T DO IT!!!

unless of course, you like to sweat.... nothing like lying or should I say sticking to your bed, while praying for the faintest whisper of a breeze.

Don't even think about just using a fan...will just blow the humid air around....need AC to cool the air and remove humidity.

I guess you could just go lock yourself in a stall and sleep in the comfort station.

Any way you can come up with to AC the pop-up (no matter how red-neckish it will look) will be worth it.

I don't see how anybody can stand to go to WDW in the summertime.

Being a native Floridian myself, I do not mind the hot summers actually I prefer them over winter. But, I would never camp in July Aug or Sept without AC, I did it when I was a kid my girlfriend and I would go to the keys how we did that I have no idea I could not imagine that now.
A portable AC unit you can get for around $200 at Home Depot and now they have ones that do not have to have a hose for draining (I don't know how it works but you can use indoors and not worry about the drain). They came up with these after our year of the hurricanes.
Even if you went the route of getting an AC I really doubt it will keep you cool to be comfortable that time of year, you will loose all the cool air through the canvas and no insulation at night you may be able to bare it with a portable.
I would suggest staying in a cabin the kids would enjoy that just as much and have all the comforts but yet enjoy the whole camping experience as well.
I took my girl scout troop there many years ago in the summer for tent camping and Disney did not have our tents ready so they put us in a cabin and we had a blast it was the best and there were terrible thunderstorms so we were very happy.

PS:

You must remember Orlando (Kissimee) is inland no breeze from the ocean and it can be brutal the humidity and all you could be looking at with the heat index up to over 100 degrees that time of year.

I'm not sure how the sites at Camp Wilderness are. We have a pop up with air and when we took it to the beach in August it was so miserable. Even though we had the air the canvas over the beds absorbed the heat. It was so hot to lay in the bed during the day. We were out in the open and there was no shade.

I would request a very shaded site at the campground if I were you.

The solar cover should help a lot and will maybe be somewhat comfortable in the sunshine hours in our Florida heat in August. Night time you should be ok with the cover.
