DH and I just bought a popup and we're planning a trip to FW in July. We have been in June the past several years but have stayed in hotels. We don't usually mind the heat and the camper has AC. But, my question is: Will we get soaked by rain? Is it miserable in July? How bad are the crowds really compared to June? Is it worse than Spring Break? TIA

personally in July and August the only parks we enjoy are the water parks, if we do visit a theme park it is in the evening hours when the sun is down. the rain is not so bad, sometimes and afternoon boomer but they usually do not last long.

My wife is a teacher, so we go every summer in June or July and stay at Ft. Wilderness. You just have to resign yourself to the fact that it will rain most days, although usually not for more than an hour or two. Bring raincoats and keep going :umbrella: :umbrella:
The same with the heat and crowds: take your time and take breaks if needed. The good thing about the summer is that the parks are open later and the parades and fireworks usually run every night. That makes it easier to see it all.
We took a popup with air conditioning several years and it will make it bearable. We put drapes between the bed ends and the rest of the popup to keep it cooler.
