Hello! I'm Rose and I'm new to the disboards (I'm awfully glad I've discovered this great community of Disney campers!). I'm a mom to three terrific boys
(15, 13.5, 12), and this summer's trip to Disney will be our 10th. We've camped at FW on three previous trips- in a tent and in the summer. :woohoo: I teach middle school here in PA, so summers are our only time to go.

We'll be using our Eureka 1512 Copper Canyon tent (great tent, I say!) and our cot bunks. This year we're going to give the whole a/c thing a whirl, so wish us luck.

There was a reason I started this post, but, for the life of me, I can't seem to remember (I mean other than the intro). :confused3

Well, if I remember, I'll just post it.

NICE TO MEET YOU!!!!
Rose

PS- I'm in full Dis-planning mode already. YAY!

Welcome Rose to the Dis!! You are about to become as addicted as the rest of us!!:cool1: You're already half way there as you are a Disney nut like the rest of us!! Enjoy , there's lots to read and learn!:surfweb:

Hi and Welcome,

We will be there June-July (see sig) as well. Just got to get our Mickey Lamps done, 91 days left before we leave :cool1:

Hey Sinclare and Kathy, thanks for the welcome.

Sinclare, we'll just miss you in July. My guys and I will be at FW 17-30 July. This is our 10th visit (4th at the Fort), and we love staying in our tent. We're actually talking about a month next summer, which would be incredible.

But gotta get to this year first. :)

Hi Rose, and welcolm to our family of Fort Fiends. Obviously you are already a veteran, having camped at the Fort 3 times. When was the last time? I guess you already know about the changes been done: some loops converted to Premium with more concrete and no tent pad, and the pool is being completly renovated and upgraded with a large slide. We have never camped there in the summer, but our next trip will be in late June-early July, in 2 years. We love December but we are looking forward to being there on July 4th. Our daughter is also a teacher so the Dec trips are hard for her to do. Anyway, we too are excited about camping in the summertime.:cool1:

Howdy DisneyRose ! Welcome to the second happiest place on earth, the camping boards !
So you have a family of men ,,well there's bound to be a fisherman in there somewhere?

Ever fish the Fort? Lots of fun.:thumbsup2

Welcome!!!!

Isn't camping at the Fort Great!!!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.

Frank, all of my guys are fishermen. If I knew what to do with the stoooooopid things (fish, not boys), I'd fish far more often. I knmow it's strictly catch-and-release at FW, so I can enjoy myself without worrying about actually catching something and having to do something with it. ;) They're bringing their poles and tackle this year because we've got some off days scheduled. I had to tell them, though, that they absolutely could NOT use the salamanders (or whatever species of lizard resides at the Fort) as bait.

Kidding, they never even suggested that. It was really my idea.

Benton, I know the Fort is undergoing some renos, but unless it affects the partial hook-up loops, I don't pay much attention. I prefer the partials because we're tent campers, and the one year we stayed in a premium site, we looked incredibly silly with our tent between two behemoth-sized RVs. Boy, that was a great time.

Again, thank you for the warm welcome.
