Hello, my family likes to camp. Our favorite place wasn’t available this year so we are exploring other options. We have considered camping at Fort Wilderness. Our vacation is in early August. For those that camp there in August, how bad is it with the heat? It would be more of a camping than park trip. The kids might decide to use their money and go off to the parks on their own, because they are old enough, but is the camp ground any cooler than parks, for example, because of all the trees?
Or would everyone that has gone tell me to stay away in August if we aren’t going to the parks? I have just always wanted to try camping there but I don’t want to melt either. We have AC, and it works great, but riding bikes and stuff would that be intolerable? Are the pools packed?
Any feedback would be great.
