Hi all! Love this forum - we have never been to WDW - well, actually, I went many years ago as a child and the only thing I remember is It's a Small World! Anyway, we are avid campers in our motorhome and some free time has opened up during the holidays and I was hoping to convince DH to take us on our first trip! However, when checking for ressies on the website, none were available. :sad2: This led me to believe that the sites must book up well in advance for Christmas and other holidays. So, I was wondering if there was a wait list available and if anyone knew if sites do occasionally become available. I am looking at anytime from 12/24-1/2, and would love to stay about 7 days. I know...I am asking the impossible right?! Oh, well, I do believe in Christmas miracles! :littleangel:

It's a blast, that week is one of the busiest. We were in the parks the week before and not to bad on crowds. At this point take what you can get and try to work around it and start making dinning ress. Call everyday, there are sites that open. Some folks say it's real time other say they refresh in the morning.

Good luck, it a great time to be there.

I agree with jayhawk, be persistent, call each day and take what you can get (maybe you can piece together the dates you want).

Call, call, call and check online every chance you get. 45 days before, people that have packages and have changed their minds will be a good time to snag a cancellation. After that 5 days before people with site only reservations will have to cancel.

That time of year is the most crowded time of the year and hard to do anything. We have been going for many, many years and now go in early Dec as you get the same feel. The last time we went on Chrstmas day we a ADR for dinner at MK and it was so crowded people were pushing and shoving and I said never again..

I have a travel agent that is a friend she just got me the dec17-29th email me and I will give you her email address. I also know someone that rents out a camper we are leaving on the 29th so maybe you can rent the camper

I'm in the same boat, we are looking for Dec 2011 and Dec 2012, I'm getting nothing on both.
It's very frustrating but I'm going to keep trying.
If we can't get in at FW, there is space at the KOA in Kissimmee. I guess we'll just drive in from there.

Keep trying.
Play with your check-in and check-out dates.
You can always drop what you don't need.
Be persistent.

We had the same problem a couple of years ago and had just about given up, but in the late summer (end August or early September) suddenly spaces became available online in the time frame we were unable to find 1 month before. Come to find out (from another board) that Disney reserves spaces for travel agencies to sell and when they aren't selling they are released for general public sales. Don't give up your search, but be prepared to check from now into September.
