Ive been doing some thinking, now i really want to go next July to see the fireworks etc to DLP but my mum has said next year we can go camping in France for a week.. Now what i was thinking was camping near DLP and just go DLP for one day to see the fireworks etc. I now just need to try and convince my dad.

Any suggestions :rotfl: He will need some convincing.

We always go at Easter to Berny Riviere campsite which is about an hour away from DLP. We go with Eurocamp and there are very few sites open at Easter but its a lovely site with a lovely swimming pool, a few lakes including a fishing one if you're into fishing.

During the summer we combine a trip to DLP staying in a hotel there with a campsite somewhere else in France - again with either Eurocamp or Keycamp. This year we are going across to Brittany after DLP, last yr we did the Loire Valley before DLP.

I know other people have stayed at a site nearer DLP but I cant remember the name of it - Eurocamp and Keycamp dont use it but other firms do if you wanted to book a tent/mobile home through a company if you dont have your own. (I think French Life/Canvas and Siblu all use it - google them and you should find it)

If you want to be really close to DLRP, I understand that you can camp at Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch which is a short junction down the motorway from DLRP. I have never done this myself (we stay in the Cabins at Davy Crockett) so I cannot comment on cost etc.

NOTE: UPDATE. Have just been on a website which states that the Davy Crockett Ranch camsite is now only open to Campervans - not for tents !!!

Berny Riviere campsite looks really nice and its not too far away either, im happy to go DLP for just one day so i dont need to be to close to the Disney magic.

I know its shocking for me to say this but i only want to go there for the one day to see the fireworks lol.

I just need to sell it to my Dad lol.

Unfortunately, I'm fairly sure the "true" camping part of the Davy Crockett Ranch is closed now, so it's only the cabins that remain now.

Take a look at this thread on a camping forum I found; it might be of use to you.

Thankyou im off to have a look. :goodvibes

Forgot to add we will stay in a mobile home. My mum refuses to go in a tent again lol.

We stayed at Les Etangs Fleuris at Touquin, which is 35-40 mins drive away. It's booked through French Life. To be honest, Berny Riviere looks nicer so if you weren't worried about the extra 20 mins I would go with that one.
