Campgrounds near Valdosta

We are heading south this weekend and will probably stop near Valdosta Ga. on 75 on our way to FW. Anyone know of an nice campgroung to stay the night at near there? We would like one with pull-through sites and full hookup. Thanks

We haven't stayed in any campgrounds in that area, but when planning a road trip, I use www.roadcamping.com.
It lets you enter in any state, and shows you campgrounds along the major highways. Looks like there is one right near Valdosta on the map.

Eagles Roost is great we stay there every trip.

We always stop the Eagles Roost too. It has been our "night 2" stop for years...I think it might have been a KOA years ago. In my family, we are creatures of habit. We have been stopping at that campground for probably 30 years.

How many hours does it take you to get to WDW from there? We will be pulling our TT so I know it will take a litte longer,than driving a car.

Another vote for Eagles Roost!!

There is a KOA at the same exit on the other side of the highway.

The Eagles Roost is at Exit 5, so only 5 miles to the Florida line, then about 200 miles to WDW via the Turnpike and 429S.

So, 3 1/2 - 4 hours.

We also usually stop at the Okahumpka Service Center for gas, lottery tickets, and Dunkin Donuts.

FYI, don't depend on picking up any staples at the Eagles Roost store. That is their ONLY shortcoming in my mind. The store really only carries crafty souveniers, no supplies at all. Last time I stopped there on the way home and could have used a roll of paper towels, but they don't carry any of that kind of stuff.
