Campground in Northern Florida?

We leave the cold snow and ice of Michigan on March 29th, 2009 to head to the Fort in a caravan of two motorhomes (golf cart, grandchildren, toad, dog, etc.) and am looking for a nice, clean, easy in - easy out campground near I-75 in northern Florida for one night's stay. Any recommendations - especially for Passport of America campgrounds? Thank you!

There's a campground just east of I-75 on I-10 and 441 in Lake City that has pull thru's and I hear is reasonable. I'll see if I can get the name.

I've heard very good things of a park called Spirit of the Swanee River it's near Lake City off of I-10

We stay there a couple times a year but it's about 12 miles west of 75 and then about 7 miles back north on 129. Probably not something you want for an overnighter.

Not in Florida, but I'm going to be staying at Eagle's Nest RV Park just north of the Georgia line on December 19th. I'll let you know how it is!!

We've stayed at eagle's Nest as well as Stephen Foster SP in FL near the I 10/ I 75 interchange. EN is full hookup and SF is not. I would prefer SF if my goal is to be in FL for the night.

Eagles Roost and Lake Park KOA are both located at Exit 5 on I-75 (Just 5 miles north of the Florida border). We've stayed at both and prefer Eagles Roost (found the sites to be more level). As a previous poster said, arriving late is not a problem.

One thing I can advise against... Osprey RV Park on the GA-FL line. It is just nasty and $35 per night. The funny thing is we stayed here on the way to Disney and I made a mental note not to come back. I also noted several cg's that looked nice as we resumed driving the next day. Then, on the way home I was looking for one of those cg's. Oh, there's one I recognize the name of... Osprey RV Park! DOH! I was too tired to get back on the interstate when I realized my mistake. I hope you do better learning from my mistakes than I do! LOL
