Campfire movie & sing a long

Can you go to the sing a long and movie if you are not a guest of Fort Wilderness? Are guests from other resorts allowed? Or is this like pool hopping?

Yes you can. We stayed at POP in March and went to it. We roasted marshmallows and had a good time.

All registered resort guests are permited to join in for the Campfire!.Please go its a great time!

If taking Disney Transit is there transportion to Downtown Disney and then to our resort if MK is closed after the campfire?

Yes there is a big bus stop up near the check-in area of the Fort where you can get a ride to DTD, the theme parks, etc.. There is also a big bus stop down near Pioneer Hall/Hoop Dee Doo/Marina to get busses to Wilderness Lodge, the Contemporary, and resorts around Bay Lake.

Finally boats run from the Fort Marina to Wilderness Lodge, the Contemporary, and the Magic Kindgom. The campfire/movie probably last at most about 2.5 hrs (depending on movie length) and even if it's on a night when the MK closes early (say 9 pm) the transport system will get you back where you need to go.

How close is the campfire to the boat dock? Is it walking distance or do you need to take the internal bus?

you'll need to take the internal bus to the campfire/movie.... but it's quick and you can always check out the xmas decor on the way... fort campers put on some amazing displays!!!

The dock to the campfire is right at 2/3 of a mile on the sidewalk on level ground. Busses run from the dock area or you can walk - it's not bad at all. Allow a leisurely 15 minutes to walk it.

We went once but waited an hour for a bus in the dark. It was scary for my kids.
