campfire movie question

We'll be at WDW THIS Sat. afternoon. Our 2 sons ( ages 10 & 6) know we're going to the singalong and movie. The meet and greet with Chip and Dale is a SURPRISE!!

What time do we need to make sure we're there so we don't miss Chip and Dale??

"Kids of all ages are invited to come and join in singing favorite campfire songs with our nutty friends, Chip & Dale, followed by a classic Disney Movie. Campfire and movie times are now on the winter schedule. Fire lighting will be at 6:30 nightly, with the singalong starting at 7:00. The movies start at about 7:40, with a double feature on Friday and Saturday."

Do you have to stay in Fort Wilderness to attend the campfire singalong? How much does it cost?

It sounds like a blast for kids - can anyone help me - please!

There's no charge and you don't have to be staying at Fort Wilderness.

IS THERE A DESIGNATED FOR CHIP AND DALE AND SHOW UP AND A DESIGNATED TIME THEY LEAVE??

C and D arrive pretty much at the beginning--7 o'clock now--and they are gone before the movie starts at 7:40ish.

There used to be a movie schedule for the month posted here, does anyone know where to find it now? We want to make time during our January trip to see Chip and Dale!

When we went last December C&D were there at the beginning to sing a few songs and they wandered around a little and then they left. (Seemed like they were there MAYBE 30 minutes -- so get there early rather than later!)

My boys loved the movie night! It was such a sweet and inexpensive way to spend the evening. They even have smores kits to buy for the bonfires. They were yummy. You can make it a whole evening by dining at the Trails end buffet, visiting the petting zoo, then going to the movie night. Dress warm this time of year and have a wonderful time.

C&D make rounds around the seating area. You are not really permitted to approach them as they will get around to everyone. Once they start making rounds--best to get to your seat so that you do not miss them. They leave once they have finished making rounds...so however long it takes them to do that. (We've been a few times and they didn't seem to stick around much in our experience.)

I agree--but at that time, I would speak with the handler. The handler is pretty good about the rounds and if you were legitimately missed--then you have a reason for approaching. (FYI--Late arrivals do not fall under this consideration--so be on time and have a GREAT time!).

But I have seen them turn away children who ran over from where they were sitting...just b/c they couldn't wait 10 seconds for the fellows to move along to their area.
