We used our Coleman fire pit/bbq at our tent site all this past week, with no problems.

The security officer stopped by one night, and said "That's what I like to see! You have the correct type of campfire!"

We have the round one with the screen that goes all the way around, and it has a top. He said we have to keep the top on at all times, but we could open the little side door in the screen to roast marshmallows and add wood.

The people across the street from us had a wood fire in their grill, and he made them put it out. He said at Thanksgiving time, there were two fires that they had to call the fire department out for, because people didn't keep the tops on their fire pits.

Thanks for the report! I got one of those Coleman fire pits a couple of year ago for Christmas--I might get to use it one of these days!

We saw someone using one of these last year. I was a bit surprised to see it but the FW staff never made the put it out. I'll have to get one so we can have our own fires.
