This question gets asked a lot.
I am surprised that the campfire/movie times are not covered in the FAQ's, but it looks like they are not.
So, to give you a specific answer to your question, here is the schedule for the campfire and movie. During Daylight savings time (Since 2007, DST begins the 2nd Sunday in March and ends the 1st Sunday in November- so in 2009 it began on March 8 and will end on November 1), the times are:
7:30- Fires lit
8:00-8:30- Sing-a-Long
8:40- Movie Starts
During Standard time (begins November 1 in 2009), the times are:
6:30- Fires lit
7:00-7:30- Sing-a-Long
7:40- Movie Starts
9:15- Second Movie Starts (Fri. and Sat. only)
Note that during standard time, there is a second movie played on Friday and Saturday night.
Let's see, what else do you need to know?
What movies are playing?
The movie schedule is posted monthly by FW management. It is rarely available before the first of each month. You will be provided a schedule when you check in. There is also a board which lists the movies posted at the campfire area. The movie schedule is also usually posted here on the Disboards as a sticky. The schedules are transcribed by Disboard members who get the schedules at the same time they become available to everyone else.
How is the campfire area set up? Do you need to bring chairs?
Here is an aerial photo of the area with the various features marked:
As you can see, there is bench seating, with backs on the benches, as well as bleacher seating in the back. You can also bring blankets and lay them out in the gravel area in front of the stage and movie screen. The center aisle is paved, and is available for wheelchairs. You can also bring folding chairs, but these will need to be placed in areas where you will not be blocking the view of the folks on the benches. There is plenty of room to find a place for your folding chairs, if you wish to bring those.
Can you buy marshmallows, sticks, etc. there? What else is available?
Here's a photo of the chuckwagon menu:
I will need to get a better photo without the glare some time. The item listed right in the middle of the glare is a Smore's kit. It includes two sticks, a small package of graham crackers, a ziplock baggie full of marshmallows, and two standard Hersheys bars. I think you can make about 8 smore's with the kit. You are also more than welcome to bring your own sticks, marshmallows, and smore's ingredients. Some people even roast hot dogs.
I think that covers everything.
