I was reading the brits guide and it says there are camper van spaces at davy crockett ranch -however the michelin camping guide says just mobile homes and 119 euro per adult - which is right?

I dont think there are any spaces at all now at DCR I think its all cabins but you can park your camper van on the main carpark for the night - Id love to do this

You have not been able to do this for quite a while.
Camper van are give the right-hand side of the main park car-park area :)

do you have to pay extra?
i wonder where i would look into this.
i've booked now as i found cheap nights at sequoia and explorers but maybe it means we can go a bit earlier or stay a bit longer.
if i were to write a trip report for this one it may have to be titled 'the one where my husband was fired from his job for taking a week to drive back from a conference'.

I would also love to know the costings for parking a camper up overnight or 7 !! we saw loads parked up in august and they were in the same place all week, so it must be posible.?????

Not sure how much it costs but I know its not much. Someone from here did it once and fed back on it afterwards but Ive not seen them on here for ages. I'll try and do a search for you to see if I can find it

On an other board I just read it is 13 Euro per night.

Please don't shoot my if I'm wrong :lmao:

I think it is indeed 13 euro - i googled and found a caravan forum - although i wonder if we get our AP 8 euro off that?
apprently they stopped it for a while as the french authorities found the facilities inadequate - but then it started up again.
thanks all for your input.

i'm glad i made you laugh , emma - hopefully it's just a joke -
:scared:
dh doesn't really love his job so it wouldn't be the absolute end of the world - i suppose there are worse reasons to get fired.
we booked a long holiday for our last trip and then dh found out about the conference in Ulm so we cut it short to allow us to build in time for a big road trip. i'm not sure how sensible venice is but it's pretty in november and we're rarely near enough to go.
