Got everything all packed up and ready for the winter this weekend. Pulled out of our seasonal site and parked it for a few months. 😥
Always such a sad day, because this is my favorite time of year to camp! The good news is that we will be checking into the Fort in 85 days!
On another note, we went to Bristol in September for the NASCAR race. Had a great time. Stopped in VA at Endless Caverns for 3 days. Great campground. We visited the cavern that is right at the campground and also Luray Caverns. We will definitely stay there again.
Unfortunately on the way home we had a blowout on the camper (our first). It caused some damage to the underbelly and we were without our camper for 3 weeks. Turns out the place that was falling all over us to help us out and fix it didn’t deliver as promised and after that 3 weeks all we had was 5 new tires. Thankfully once my husband got a better look at it (in the daylight and no rain) he realized it wasn’t that bad and he had it fixed in about an hour and $30.
We are now also the proud new owners of tire pressure monitors! 😉

Bummer on the blow out and damage. It was one reason why I invested in a TST 507 system. I get really frustrated with most RV shops now that seem to not care about how long they take to get the work done. I don't get it since they usually all have limited space so why drag your feet on the work?!?!?

Never stayed at Endless Caverns, though recently stayed at the Harrisburg KOA again, our DD is a freshman at JMU so a great place for us to stop close to her for the weekend. Thanks for the info since they are only a couple miles away from the KOA.

Sorry to hear about the tire and damage. If you have a towable RV, it's just a matter of time.

And the winterizing and putting away for the winter is another reason I hate winter. I have the DIS Meet this week and one more trip to Searcy, AR on 11/25 to have a fogged window replaced. I'll likely have to winterize before then. MIddle/end of November can be pretty cold here.

At least you have a trip to the Fort early next year (great time to go!).
