Balthazar: Balthazar smiled. He wasn't really sure of his new feelings yet, but what he did know is that this girl was really something special.

Balthazar: He wasn't expecting enchanted cake to be this good, but he supposed that it was a good thing.

Kari: Kari rested her head on Eric's shoulder. She was happy.

OOC: I'm going to hold off on the Missy/Richard conversation because I want to get the Britannia/Missy convo out of the way.

Eric: He nuzzled her cheek. "Are you less hungry now?"

Missy: Missy saw Britannia nearby beating a tree with a pocket knife and excused herself from Richard before running over. She said, "You okay?"

Britannia: "That horrible jerk had the nerve to cheat on me and kiss another girl while we're engaged!" she shrieked. "What a-"

Missy: "Taking it out on the tree isn't going to solve the problem." she replied. Then she yanked Britannia's knife from her hand.

Britannia: "I thought that he actually loved me!" she yelled. "Here I thought that he had truly loved me."

Missy: "Mam, what happened?"

Britannia: "I called him to tell him that I love him and that I can't wait to be with him, but then I find out that he's kissed anyother girl! Not only is it another girl, but it's someone who's on the Young Avengers!"

Missy: "I know you don't want to hear this right now and probably will never want to hear it, but I'm honestly not that surprised. Gordon hasn't been here with you, so he's probably much closer to his team."

Britannia: "That's the way it should be. But I really thought that he loved me and that our engagement actually meant something to him."

Missy: "Guys can be a little clueless. Keep in mind that it was his decision and that he chose it."

Britannia: "He gave me an awful excuse. Apparently his sister is dying and he 'just needed some comfort' because 'he was desperate.'"

Missy: "Well, there you go. Now you know. If he had kept this a secret from you until you were married, I'm sure you'd take it worse than you are now."

Britannia: "Yeah, I'd kill him. I feel cheated. He knew darn well that I was on call, if he had a dilemma he could have called me-"

Missy: "I know."

 

[The Villianess]

Britannia: "He doesn't love me. He never did."

Missy: "You're jumping to conclusions. Stop it now."

Britannia: "You don't understand, but I don't know what to expect from someone who hasn't had a boyfriend for longer than a week! Balthazar doesn't count!"

Missy: "That's quite enough, and that was way out of line! I'm just fine."

Britannia: "You don't even know what love is, so how on earth am I expected to listen to your relationship advice?"

Missy: "You don't have to." Missy screeched. "You don't!"

Britannia: "I loved him dearly." Britannia said. "And he-"

Missy: Missy took a deep breath. "And he broke your heart. He is a guy."

Britannia: "That's not even the point. I was such a fool. I absolutely loved him."

Missy: "You'll find another guy someday. Gordon was just a boyfriend. It's not totally over."

Britannia: "I thought he liked me, like I thought he really liked me. I'm stupid."

Missy: "You are so not stupid, you just fell in love with someone who obviously wasn't committed to the relationship. It happens."

Britannia: She coughed. "Yeah."

Britannia: "No, he's already got enough on his plate as it is. You know that?"

Missy: "Yeah," she replied. "I guess."

Britannia: "Missy." Britannia whispered. "I'm sorry."

Missy: "You don't have to worry about that. I know you didn't mean what you said, and you're right. What do I know about relationships anyway?"

Britannia: "You know more than I know about relationships. I'm sorry."

Missy: "It's fine. Just make sure you remember the address if you want to return the ring."

I have flowers from a man named Gordon Matthews. These are just the first 4. There are 96 more bouquets in my truck that are for you. Man, he must've really messed up, or must really love you, or both."
