Does anyone have any experience with using them? I am ordering my new camera and just wondering what site you use when ordering cameras/equipment online.

I've never heard of them. Frankly, I've found places like Ritz photo are overpriced (our store actually closed a few years ago). While it was nice to be able to go in and actually see/handle the gear, I would never buy anything major from them because I could do better online (free shipping, often no sales tax)

I buy my gear from 1:B&H Photo video (www.bhphotovideo.com) They are a huge store, have just about everything, have great reviews from real people, ship fast and often have free shipping. 2. Amazon. 3. Best Buy (when I have coupons as I'm a rewards member). They have often matched other online retailer prices if you know who to talk to in store).

Adorama is another popular site that many on here use. I have bought from them a well, but prefer B&H. I have also scored some great deals on used lenses (like new) on Ebay (got one for less than 50% of retail and it was hardly used).

Thanks I will check those out. I checked out Amazon and that is where that site came from. It is one of those "packages" so I was really nervous to purchase from them. I have a Kadair's near here that can order for me but thinking I can get it in quicker if I just order it myself then through them.

Cameta camera is a store on Long Island. I have never purchased from them online but been to the actual store. Very helpful and never had any issues with any equipment that I purchased from them.

Cameta has a pretty good reputation, according to what I've read over time on other photography forum sites.

I have bought a few things from them through Amazon. I think it was only accessories for the camera. I received them with no problems. I have also ordered from B&H and Adorama with no porblems.

Just like everyone else has said, bought from all three with no problem.Cameta was fine quick ship with no hassle's and was a package deal.

Here is something I found out about BH Photo. I was looking at the panasonic HDC-TM900 camcorder. It showed a price of $989.99 and said to login for more details.

It didn't cost anything to register, so I did. I then logged in and..... the price dropped to $849.00 with the notation "This Item has a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) restriction set by the Manufacturer / Distributor that limits how we can display our selling price. The price above is our actual selling price."

I have purchased several things from cameta both online and over the phone. They have been great. I have also purchased from adorama and BH. I would say cameta is on par just a little smaller co. I had to return/exchange a defective item and they took it back without any problems. Thier shipping is quick. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a camera from them.

Thanks everyone for your help!! I ended up going with B&H...Mainly because they have Saturday delivery so I will have my new camera tomorrow!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
