I am planning to take a trip to Disney. Currently have a Mercury digital camera and a regular non-digital camera. Do you find it easier to take pictures with the regular camera and bring film, or just to take the digital camera and batteries? I don't want to have to carry much, but either way it's batteries or film. Which do you prefer?

Not sure on your type of digital camera, but I would carry batteries first before rolls of film all day in a sweaty poket or taking up a lot of space in a fanny pack. Get a large capacity memory card for the digital and an extra battery or 2 and shoot away. Saves mega bux in the end on wasted pictures. You can edit out the ones that didn't come out instead of paying for bad film pictures. Then take the memory card with the pictures you want to get developed. Or print your own if you have a photo printer.

Just my opinion.

I would also just bring a digital camera. I would much rather carry around a few spare batteries, and maybe a spare memory card than extra rolls of film. Plus if you have a laptop, you can transfer the pics every night and either upload them to a website so others can keep track of your trip, or at least get rid of the pics you did not want to keep. Also while taking the picture you can make sure it came out instead of taking the pic and waiting to see if you got the picture you wanted.

one of the best cameras going for a good price is the kodak z740 priced about 299. it is digital if you get a 1 gig memory card for it it will take over 300 5 .0 megapixal pictures. it has a 10x optical zoom and a 5x digital enhancement for a whopping 50x zoom. it will also take up to 80 min of video and sound with another card.also it docks with the printer that prints 4 differant size prints from 4x6 and smaller. i take the printer with me and if a print gets messed up i take it again. :cool1:
