Cameras - What do you do with them when on rides?

I know you can't just leave them in the stroller, but I really would hate to have to bring it with me on a ride - not a slow ride like Its A Small World (gotta bring the camera on that one!!), but on a fast ToT ride or something like that. We have a pretty good size camera - kinda bulky - any experiences or suggestions??

My camera is rather small and fit nicely in my fanny pack (representin'!), but DH had quite the conundrum with his camcorder. He has a separate camera bag for it, but ended up storing it in his backpack along with his diabetic supplies. He got frustrated and just ended up plopping the backpack on the floor of the "car," stuck one of his feet through one of the straps, and made sure his feet stayed firmly planted on the floor. Everything and everyone made it through the rides with no problem...I think the weight of the backpack helped in keeping it on the floor.

Maybe a camera bag with a longish strap and loop it around your leg several times...

So you're allowed to bring a bag of stuf fon a ride with you? I've been concerned about this. I don't want to leave anything on our stroller if I don't have to and I was concerned about what to do with my stuff.

Do you think alything WOULD be ok and safe left on a stroller?

I have a pretty bulky camera (canon rebel xt and lens), a small camcorder and other important things like autograph stuff etc. that I put in a small bag. I take two bags to the park every day - one small bag with that important stuff and one large bag with things like jackets, ponchos, snacks, etc. The large bag stays on the stroller and the small bag goes with me on every ride including TOT and roller coasters. I have never had an issue taking the small bag on rides. Some rides have a place for it, some rides I hold it on my lap and other rides I place it on the floor with my foot through the strap. I also have never had an issue with the things I leave on the stroller. Have fun!

I always carry mine in my travel purse. When I take my camcorder, I put the case in the little compartment for your purse, and wrap my leg or arm around it. It is not too difficult if the camera bag isn't too large. My DH usually carries it around his neck, although he can't this year. He recently had surgery, so it's mom the pack mule again! HA!:santa:

We had hydration backpacks that sit pretty high on the back that my DH and DD never took off even on rides and were still comfortable. There's usually a little net spot to put a bag on the more thrilling rides, though. The only one I might worry about it would be RocknRollercoaster. We have two preschoolers so DH and I switched off to ride with our older DD and left the cameras and things with the person who wasn't riding.

Also, after our first day in the parks I broke and wore a fanny pack. It was very convenient to have the tickets and camera where I could access them without digging around in a backpack. I could take a picture and put the camera away while pushing a stroller with no problems. This was easy to wear on all the rides.

Please Do NOT leave anything valuable with a stroller. No cameras, video recorders, necessary meds or anything else you can't replace easily or inexpensively.

It's easy for someone to take something from a stroller and while you think it would never happen at WDW, it does!

You could bring a backpack and put it on the floor of the ride with the strap around your leg and it'll be fine. If you are concerned bring an extra light item of clothing to wrap around your video camera for padding.

Had an idea (I think we will try) for securing a bag to your stroller. Use a zip cord...you know one of those plastic strips that you have to cut off...to secure the larger bag to the stroller so it cannot easily sprout legs and walk away.
