Cameras allowed on Sheikra?

Anyone know if cameras are allowed on Sheikra at Bush Gardens? I'm going to be riding it a bunch of times with my daughter tomorrow as part of her science fair project. Just wondering if I should bring a camera or not. :confused3

I have no clue Jeff, but not sure that would be something I would be looking forward to. Just goes to show what a great dad you are!

Busch Gardens is extremely strict about bringing anything on rides. I've been asked to put away my camera. There are lockers right outside of that ride so unless it's a Point and Shoot that you are hiding in your pants pocket, I doubt you'll get away with it.

When I went there a little over a year ago, they would not even let people take fanny packs on the rides. It was basically nothing in your hands or on your body. I bet they make a small fortune on the lockers!

Maybe now's the time to pick up that helmet camera you were looking at last month.Wonder what they would say if you had a helmet on with that camera attached standing in line. You are a good dad taking her on that ride,me I have to watch

I haven't been able to. In fact, if your shoes look even the slightest bit like they'll fall off, they make you ride barefoot.

OTOH, I've used the flip to do ride videos of EE and Rock and Roller Coaster, so it depends on the park and who runs it.

What's the project?

She has Type-1 Diabetes- the project was to test to see if Roller Coasters effect blood sugar levels- three trials so it was test-ride-test-ride-test-ride-test. My levels (non-diabetic) rose slightly each test (3-4 points) while hers dropped fairly significantly (10-15 points each test) so it was interesting. The ride was fun but the finger poking wasn't- of course it's just a little glimpse into what she has to do day-in and day-out.

BTW- no ride pictures/cameras allowed. I smartly left my dslr at home. They stopped a much smaller roller cosater at the starting line on me for just having by cell phone out. :rolleyes1

Cool project. And very interesting results!
