Hi
I'm hesitating in taking my new camera for my wdw jan trip ..
I know this is a strange question but have you ever heard of a disney cast member dropping a guest's camera while taking a picture for them ??
thanks

No, have not heard of or seen that happen, how ever I imagine that if it did guest services would be replacing your camera faster than you can say mickey mouse!

I think any pictures you will get are worth that small risk;)

Every time I use a camera, I put the wrist strap over my wrist. I would think a CM would do the same, just because of the liability.

I got a new camera for Christmas and I can't wait to use it on vacation!

(just a brainstorm)

The Magic Pad.

If you want a CM to take your picture with your camera you must put the camera on the Magic Pad and then step back and the CM will pick up the camera. When he is done he will put the camera back on the Magic Pad for you.

This, believe it or not, greatly reduces the problem of dropped cameras.

(The Magic Pad does not have to be anything more than a mouse pad that the CM (Photopass photographer?) laid on the ground.)

take with you. Go and pratice as much as possible before you go and don't forget to buy a few extra memory cards or bring your laptop and the usb cable.

Happy shooting, I am still trying to do the fireworks. Our last trip we had our Nikon DLS, it's was great....
