Well, I was hoping to leave the DSLR at home by getting memory maker...I think my wife has other ideas, so we'll be lugging it around the park again. My hope was to carry our small point and shoot in cargo short pockets. Between that, memory maker and cell phones, thought we would covered.

I guess my main concern is the daily thunderstorm. I don't care if my point and shoot gets ruined with rain but I don't want to ruin our good camera. Is there a rain cover that anyone has used successfully to protect a DSLR camera and lense. We have a canon 60D.

I've also used the above "baggies" when lightly raining but I generally try to put my DSLR away in the rain. If you are looking for something minimal but functional while not using it I suggest:

I LOVE and use these. So much easier than toting a big camera bag. Although I generally have that big bag in our stroller but it's much easier to carry the camera with the camera coat than having to put it up in the big bag every time it rains in WDW!

I use the "Rain Slicky" style. http://cameracoats.bigcartel.com/category/styles-rain-slicky
I've never had any trouble with my camera getting wet at Disney or any other outing while using it. There is a sizing chart which tells you which size to purchase. They have a FB page and do specials and sales fairly often.

Here's a video by them showing how they work.

Hope this helps!

I got mine from Amazon a few years ago and it works fine with no problems
