We have booked a last minute trip for the end of April.

I currently have a Sony camera, all the bells and whistles to the maximum end of a point and shoot.

I am finding this camera heavy lately when carrying it all day. Do you guys have any recommendations for a light weight/small camera with these options?

A camera even I would consider as a second powerful compact camera G1 X

Remember its never about the number of MPL's its always about the quality of the sensor and its always about the discerning eye of the person behind the lens that makes the difference regardless of the camera quality.

Hope this helps.

One more recommendation.
Nikon Coolpix AW100.

All weather, 12mp photos, plus 1080p HD video, lightweight and very compact. :thumbsup2

i have also been looking into this... i have a 4 year old lumix... thinking of getting the same thing again, but thanks for the new suggestions.. costco has the zs10 for 199, which is the 2nd newest model..

That sounds like a great deal. I don't think you can go wrong with a Lumix. When I bought my current Lumix, it was the "2nd newest model", too. I got it off of QVC.com. Great camera!

Almost all Pentax cameras are very light, even the biggest of their dSLRs.
