Don't know of anyone can help with this :confused3

I've had my Kodak camera for about 2 years now and the flash has stopped working :headache: Anyone had this problem and if so is it easy to fix?

I don't wanna sound patronising, and this might be of no help whatsoever so apologies in advance.

But none of your camera settings have changed have they?

The reason I ask is because last year the flash had stopped working on my camera after I had been carrying it in my bag all day. Somehow the settings had changed (not sure if buttons had been pressed accidentally in my bag or what), which stopped my flash from coming on.

I went around like this for around a month before finally taking it to a Sony shop where they out it back to factory settings or something.

I hole you manage to sort it :thumbsup2

change the battery (which is probably the most condescending thing i could of said) but the flash uses alot of power,

also check your manual (after checking the camera settings as bethejo said)
some cameras have a secondary battery for the flash, (normally a watch battery) if not, it may require a replacement bulb or capacitor.
unless there are instructions in your manual to replace a bulb, it will need to be done by a professional, as the circuitry for the bulb is quite high voltage.

which model is it btw?

If it is a faulty flash unit then it will probably be cheaper to replace the camera than get a repair.

Thanks for the replies :thumbsup2

It's defintely not the settings or battery, I've checked both, I rang Kodak today and they said it will cost £25 to send the phone to them to get fixed. Problem is is that we go to Egypt in 6 days and it won't be fixed in time. I don't know whether to just cut my losses as it could end up costing me more than £25 and go and buy a new camera or take it to Egypt and not take any photos at night and then get it fixed when we get back. :confused3
