I am looking to buy a new camera, and want one that takes decent pictures at night ( as well as day!) for fireworks, etc. I also don't want to pay a bazzillion dollars. Any suggestions?

What do you call a bizzillion dollars?

Sony cybershot has a large view screen and I've taken pics for people they look great. I think they range $180 - $300
:lovestruc
If you want to go for broke my hubby bought me a Digital SLR Nikon D40X with two lenses 18 - 55 and 55 -200 DVDs to show you how to use it and a storage bag with 2 year maintenace contract for about $1100.00. :rolleyes1 Also a memory stick. I can take over 500 pictures with that tiny little thing. I do love this camera but was sick about the price and he bought the whole thing. I wouldn't of gotten all the bells and whistles.

This is the camera that the Photo pass people use is a Digital SLR Nikon D40 It takes great pics at night even without the flash. Good News.

My hubby has an old Sony digital he likes but he bought me my own camera my regular 35MM was in more this year for service then in use.:scared1:
