The bag I carry at WDW for my DSLR is the Lowepro Offtrail 1. It is a fanny pack style that carries the camera with a lens attached and either 1-2 other lenses. The lens pouches are removable to lighten the load and bulk. I just kept the case part to my side and it was very easy to get the camera out, even while sitting in a show. Definitely take a look at this one.

don't know if you've checked out cambags.com (it's been mentioned in other threads), but you can see all kinds of bags packed with gear... :) all the lowepro slingshots are there as well as a bunch of others...very informative! :thumbsup2

I have been using the Tamarac Digital BAckpack. Not sure how it compares sizewise to the ones listed, but it is about the rght size for me to carry around all day. i have my XTi with lens, 2 extra lenses, 430ex flaSH small Sony camcorder in the main pack, plus a small tripod and sd800 in the outer pocket and the memory cards etc held in the mesh compartments in the main body. As much as this holds, it seems amazingly compact to me.

I do a lot of travel/event photography and I've found that a two-layer approach works well for me. I carry a Tamrac Adventure 9 backpack with most of my gear (laptop, batteries, cards, lenses, tripod, back-up camera, snack, H2O, etc.); I also have neoprene covers for the camera, one lens, and flash. That way I can have the main camera out all the time (with a comfy strap) nice and safe (from water, rocks, sticky fingers) and still have all the necessary stuff handy.

I ordered a Disney Phoyopass CD from their website 2 weks ago and have not yet recieved it. I emailed and asked how long and just got a "form email" saying thanks for the inquire -- someone will get back with you in a few days. Anyone else have this problem or how long did it take you to get your CD once ordered?? Just wondering? Thanks.

Mine was about 10 days but that was right when they became avail on the sight (not redirected to the old sight).

I know they extended the expire dates for everyone to get things up and running so a lot of people were waiting and now are getting orders in.

well, I ordered the CD on the 3th and don't ahve it yet. I did get e-mails it was on its way though. I have hope it will be here this week or next.

Just wanted to let you all know I posted a detailed review of my photopass photobook that I received this week. I posted it in Theme Parks / strategies board because I didn't look through all boards thoroughly enough and didn't see this board. This would have been a better place for it. But like I said search out photo book or go to the theme park page you will see my post and review with description.
loved the book.

What type of camera bags does everyone use. I thought about getting the LowePro slingbag but found a Caselogic DSLR & Laptop bag. It has foam cutouts to slide 4 lenses in and a spot to put the camera w/ lense attached.....plus my laptop. It also has side pockets to put memory cards and batteries. Anybody got a personal review of this one?

Well I found the slingshot 200 up here in Canada at 2 different stores. I tried it out and yes I like it. The price in the stores here was $110.00 and $120.00 ouch. I managed to find it on ebay here in Canada for $66.95 usd or $79.35 cad plus tax. This also included shipping and I got it within 2 days of purchase. Sence it was sold from Canada I didnt have to pay heavy duty from the border or brokarage fees. Bag is packed and ready to use. woooohoooo Thankyou for posting this thread this is the bag I needed. I did check out other sling bags too but this one suited me best.

I just sold my AW 100 on Ebay. They are nice bags but limited in space as I outgrew mine in about 3 months. I now have the micro-trekker which is a back pack style and it holds all my gear. If I am walking around WDW or Zoo or wherever, I have the Lowepro Off Trail 1. It attaches around your waist like a fannypack and holds DSLR with a lens attached and either two more lenses or other accessories. The lens cases on it then detach ad attach to the backpack using Lowepro's "slip lock" system for more capacity on that bag. I love Lowepro bags, they are so versatile and interchangeable. Plus I called because I wanted to purchase additional dividers to seperate the inside into more compartments and they asked how many I needed and sent them to me free of charge. Got to love that kind of customer service.:thumbsup2

I liked the micro trekker b/c it held a lot of stuff for it's size. We ended up with the slingshot 200, though, and it's a pretty nice bag! haven't tested it out yet though...maybe next time we're at DL...

I'm putting together a PhotoPass primer for my web site and I'd like to include a pic of the viewing stations, but I don't have any of my own. Anybody got one you'd be willing to share?

Dangit, I just found that I have no pics of PhotoPass photographers, either.

I've got a Pentax K100d with the standard kit lens and a Pentax DA 50-200 lens. I'm looking for a nice, compact bag to carry them in. I've got a holster style bag that works great for the camera and kit lens, but now need something that'll hold both lenses. I'd really like something that would hold pretty much just the camera and lenses (so nothing to big).

Anyone have any suggestions?

Not to highjack the thread but I am going to buy the K100D, how do you like it?

Thanks for any feedback.:thumbsup2

Uh...Houston...We've got a hijacker!! :rotfl2:

I like it very much. Have had it since just before Christmas. Lots to learn as I'm coming for a regular digital camera. One thing is definite...you'll want the zoom lens with it. The kit lens is fine for most, but you'll quickly find need for the zoom. Overall, it's fairly easy to use. I'm working my way through the learning curve on using all the other settings. No lie though, I can say I've take over 1000 pictures since I got it. I'm quite happy with the purchase.

I got it through Beachcamera.com and was very pleased with their service and price. The extra lens I got through Amazon.com.

This is the one that I am thinking about getting.
