Considering trying the Camelot Inn for a trip in June since it's way too late to book the GC on points. Previously stayed at the Desert Inn and the Fairfield. This time I'm considering the Camelot but I can't figure out if parking is included in the quote or not. There really isn't a breakdown so it's hard to tell. On the Desert Inn site the quote shows as included and the Fairfield site shows you that it's extra but the Camelot doesn't say either way. For those of you who have booked it, what was the deal?

Policies

Check In Time:
4:00 p.m.
Check Out Time:
11:00 a.m.
Daily Parking Fee: $12.00 plus 17% tax. (*Tax subject to change)

It took me a bit to find it too, but if you click on policies at the bottom of the webpage, this is there.
We will be staying there June 11-15, but decided to fly into SNA and uber instead of rental car. Saving parking cost alone will cover Uber!
Have a great trip!

I just stayed there for the first time this month. The parking (as PP said) is not included. They can valet park for you for the same price but it's a pain to wait for them to get your vehicle if you need to go anywhere, and if you need something in it, the valet parking area is way in the back. So I would self park.

As for the rest of the hotel, it is basic. Not bad. I thought the pool was awful. Tiny and dirty. It's sister hotel is the Tropicana, which I stayed at twice recently. I prefer it because the pool is a regular size and feels clean. However The Camelot is usually a bit cheaper, and only a few steps further away.

I'm looking to possible stay at the desert inn and suites soon. How did you like it?

I think all of these Harbor Blvd places are going to be similar. Desert Inn was fine albeit basic, I didn't use the pool at all. I can say I though the Fairfield was better but it is a longer walk and quite a bit more expensive. The dates I'm searching the Trop is cheaper than than the Camelot or Desert Inn. There is this cockroach picture from the Trop on tripadvisor that i can't seem to get past although I've read just about every review over the last two years and they have been universally positive.

I stayed at Trop for 7 nights a couple weeks ago, and yes, I had also seen the cockroach picture:guilty:. But, I'm happy to report that it was clean, inside and out. Really no complaints other than the lack of parking spots, which is a common theme among Harbor properties. We were always able to find a spot without having to valet, but I was afraid to leave in the evenings. If it is the cheapest option among those you are considering, I'd definitely give it a try.

ETA: I also found Trop to be very quiet, much more quiet than DI&S.
