I’ve stayed at both within the past year
It wasn’t my first time at the Camelot (and won’t be my last). I love the family suite, but any room is fine, especially after the (relatively) recent renovations
Love the castle theme of the rooms and the purple and grey, also even though the pool leaves a lot to be desired, the firework view from it is
The Tropicana is fine, it’s a tad closer (we are talking next door….but still, it’s nice to always be closer!
I stayed in a park view suite at the Tropicana a couple months ago, I will say this: NEVER again will I suggest the suite. The bedroom with the king is fine. It’s the “pullout couch” in the living room that is horrendous. Even Disney tired, I didn’t sleep well on it. It was rock hard.
The pluses were two bathrooms and the balcony view.
But a standard room between the two: they are equal in cleanliness, proximity and friendly staff.
Pictured below: the amazing balcony views from the Tropicana (two balcony’s in the park view suite!)! and the awful ground feeling pullout couch
