Hello everyone!

I have a few questions about this waterpark. I will going there for the first time this Saturday and was wondering....how big are the large lockers? Are they the same size you get in WDW? Does anyone have pictures of them?

Next question...is the food there overpriced? am I better off just bringing my own lunch?
Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

If I recall correctly, the lockers are relatively large - about the size of WDW lockers. It's been awhile, though.

Bring lunch. Supplement it with french fries and ice cream. The picnic area is quite nice. When you first arrive, put a table cloth down on a table with your lunch. There's always enough tables for people and it's nice to have a table in the shade. (And before someone starts muttering, food is not allowed in the park so if you bring it, they direct you to the picnic area to place it on a table.)

The park is large so if you have little ones, you'll really have to shadow them.

We always have a blast at Camelbeach.

Oh...and this is important....if your kids intend to ride some slides, their bathing suits cannot have metal zippers because the zippers can rip the slide linings.

The large lockers are pretty big. I was able to cram 2 beach towels and 2 changes of clothes into one with lots of room to spare.

Yes, food prices are rediculous! I agree - pack a cooler.

Wear watershoes. The shoe holders are pretty far from where you get on the rides and the pavement gets hot, hot, hot!

Don't forget the sunscreen and make sure to put it on a few times over the day. That mountain sun is unforgiving. I was a lobster even after reapplying sunscreen 3 times over the course of the day.

The wave pool is fantastic!

I love the toilet bowl ride - Spin Cycle.

Have a great time.

Agree with the PPs:

Large lockers
Pack lunch/cooler - huge, covered area to eat
Watch the sun - Received my worst sunburn in the last 10 years there
When the wind picks up in the evening, it gets cool fast
You can get a 4 person family pack of tickets on-line for $100

If you have little ones, take juice! When we went last year they had no juice or milk. I couldn't get over that. I assumed they would have it and was SOL! I did write and complain so hopefully they have changed it. I also agree pack your lunch and buy a treat.

It's a nice park, be prepared to hike! I was tired getting from the parking lot to the park (take the tram!).

Have a great time!

Just a note about the picnic area. It used to be free, but they now charge. If you want a picnic table, it will cost you $12 (I think...it's either $10 or $12) and there is a limit as to the number of people per table (either 6 or 8...I checked the website earlier this summer and was so irritated by the new picnic rules that I blanked out!)

They are strict about bringing food AND drinks in, including bottled water. They check bags. They look under towels and inside towels. I don't sneak in food, but I find the bottled water rule completely stupid, especially on a hot day. I refuse to pay $2 or more per bottle of water for my whole family, a few times a day. I can understand not bringing in other beverages, but water?? It's kind of a necessity. :headache:

The lockers are pretty large. We shared one with two other families and stuffed it full....one of us had to lean on it to keep it shut while the other turned the key.

It is a clean water park, and the rides are fun. Aside from the picnic changes and the rules on bringing in water, we really do like the place!

Thanks everyone for the information and tips! The sunscreen tips are important. I have a few friends that have fair skin so we'll be keeping a close eye on that. I was kinda shocked that you had to pay for a picnic table. Thats kinda odd. Is there water fountains around that you can drink from if you drink all your water bottle?
