Camcorders???

Does anybody use camcorders anymore? We have a Sony Handycam that is 7 yrs old. Thinking of getting a new camcorder...new models much cheaper/smaller. The wife and I both have iPhones that we record with occasionally also. What does everybody do to capture those magically moments??

I use my camcorder exclusively for events. Recitals, Christmas morning, special visit with great grandparents...things like that. Otherwise, we just use the phone video camera. I'm trying to decide if the DSLR is worth brining into the parks. I hate the delay on my phone's still camera but don't really want to lug the big camera around.

I use my point and shoot's video mode. It does video in HD.

I have a Canon Elph, so it fits in my pocket.

I think the video on the iPhone 5s is awesome.
