Camcorders?

I'm considering buying some type of digital camcorder. Primarily for things like Disney trips. So I want it to be fairly small/light. I like the idea of these little "pocket size" camcorders and they seem to be fairly inexpensive...but I'm worried I'll be sorry I didn't pay a little more for something better. I'd consider a handheld that doesn't fit in my pocket as long as it's not TOO big. I've done some looking around on line and it's overwhelming! Just looking for some input if anyone has one, what you have, what you like/don't like about it? Thanks so much!

It really depends on what you want to do with the video afterward. Do you want optical zoom? Do you want to be able to upload to the web directly from your camera? Do you want to edit your video?

I don't really want to do anything fancy like editing or anything. I just want something easy to use. I've seen some where it looks like you "share" directly to the web which is cool but it's not a must for me.

Most PnS cameras do video just as well as most camcorders, especially when it comes to consumer use.

I have 3-4 nice Canon camcorders in the closet right now. All of them are <3 years old. I never use'em anymore. See the first paragraph. Wanna buy one? :rotfl:

Seriously. Get a NICE PnS with image stabilization and have the best of both worlds. When you apply the money you would have spent on a nice camcorder, you'll probably save money and come out ahead in the long haul.
