Camcorder use ?

Just wondering how many people use their camcorders at DW. Debating on whether to take ours or whether it would be too much of a pain to carry around.

when we had a larger camcorder, it stayed in the bag and we never used it. This last trip, we splurged a bit and got a smaller HD harddrive one. That one we used, especially for character interaction and parades, etc. The kids love to watch their own "movie" from vacation, and it really didn't take up much space at all.

I just recently realized that our digital camera (which is tiny) holds quite a bit of video. There's no way in heck we're carting around our camcorder this trip. I'm so tempted to buy one of those FLIP video cameras, but hubby won't agree to the purchase. LOL

I have one of the small cameras that takes video segments. I simply got a bigger memory card for it, and it is stablized.

it is good enought that I got the entire barge light and sound show from the balcony of our room at the poly.

It fits in my pocket, so I don't have to lug around a bag of gear.

every night I download my and DW's (we both have the same camera) pics and video to the laptop to free the memory cards, then charge the battries.

I did on my last trip. But the camcorder is small (the size of my hand or a bit bigger) so it made carrying it around that much easier.

I wrapped it in a towel & threw it in my bag & took it out when I needed it.

If I had my larger v.camera I wouldn't of carried it around every day.

September will be the first time that I have one to bring and will be bringing it. It is not much bigger than my hand and smaller than my DSLR camera so I know I will be using it.

Ditto. Why carry around a camera and a video camera when most cameras do both!
